Three monsters work the night shift at the graveyard gate. Swap between them on the fly, hold the gate against waves of hounds, fangmaws and eye-wisps, and every time a boss falls, rip a part off it and stitch it onto one of your crew: fangs, claws or way too many eyes. Collect three of a kind and that monster evolves.

How it plays

• Tag team: the Gravedigger, the Hollow and the Wailing Bride, each with their own moves and special. Swap mid-fight; the new monster lunges in.
• Read the glints: red claw swipes mean dodge, and a perfect dodge opens a counter.
• MASH: fill the bar and unleash a rift cast that tears through a crowd.
• Bosses every few waves, new realms, upgrades, unlockable monsters and skins.
• The hearse: call it from anywhere and run the pack down.
• A short training wave, a story told between the bosses, and a Night Shift with a new twist every day.

Controls

Keyboard and mouse: WASD to move, J or click to claw, E for the special, Space or right-click to dodge, 1 2 3 to swap, Q for MASH, C to call the car, F to grab or drive, drag to move the camera, Esc to pause.
Phone: left stick to move, on-screen buttons for everything else, drag the right side to look.

Plays best in fullscreen (button at the bottom right of the game). Your progress is saved in your browser.

Desktop version

The browser game is free. If you want to support the game, the desktop version (Windows, Mac Apple Silicon, Mac Intel) plays fully offline in its own window.

• Windows: unzip the folder and run Grave Shift.exe. If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info then Run anyway.
• Mac: unzip and move Grave Shift to Applications. The first time, right-click it and choose Open; if macOS still blocks it, go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway. (We are a small indie studio without a paid signing certificate.)
• F11 switches fullscreen. The desktop and browser versions keep separate saves.

Made for a Halloween game jam. If you enjoyed it, a small donation helps me keep making games. Thank you for playing!
